What's the difference between AR, VR and MR?
Category:Virtual reality is the process of immersion in electronic reality. Impressive special effects caused by technological devices penetrate not only into the world of games, but also into the world of business, primarily trade, and the development of new products. The largest companies are investing billions of dollars in this technology. For example, the founder of Facebook recently admitted that over the next decade, his company will spend $ 3 billion on developing solutions using VR.
Thanks to our gaming club, you can explore new worlds, experience adrenaline, and even overcome your fears! We offer you to immerse yourself in the virtual world of sports, racing in high-speed Formula 1 cars, flying into space, or participating in virtual battles. Of course, these are just examples - the number of possibilities is unlimited! Anything is possible with ps4 club games!
Existing interfaces: virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR), mixed (MR), which connect the real world with virtual elements. Below we will analyze in detail and find out the features of VR / AR technologies.
What is VR?
VR technology is a technology that allows the user to interact with a computer simulation of the environment. Mostly visual and sound and based on the projection of a three-dimensional image on a computer screen or specially prepared screens that enhance the effect of immersion in a computer-generated world. The user surrounded by them, thanks to stereoscopic glasses, can interact and move in the environment created in this way. The 3D perspective is constantly updated following the movement of the user. Simulation of reality in virtual environments is currently used mainly for gaming purposes, but also in military and scientific research.
The best game is a counter strike (Pavlov), you should try it!
VR chat what is it?
In early 2018, the free VRChat app was released. Initially, the program was invented only for communication using virtual reality devices.
But VRChat has expanded the possibilities and invites users to meet in the scenery of various worlds, from a clearing in the forest to a space station on Mars.
The possibility of taking pictures is also noteworthy - we are talking about both classic photographs and three-dimensional panoramas.
What is AR?
Augmented reality is a system that combines a picture of the real world with computer-generated objects. The imposition of additional elements on the image from the camera should be carried out in real-time, be interactive, and ensure the free movement of the user in three dimensions.
Augmented reality shouldn't be limited to images only. The real world can be enriched with computers with sound, ar glasses, and even ... smell. There are many areas where this reality can be used. Thanks to the appropriate technology, aircraft pilots could use the data on the cockpit glass to “see” the terrain even in the fog. Augmented reality can also be used by tourists traveling in a foreign city looking for directions to their destination.
How does the technology work?
The technology works by introducing into the field of view of the camera and the connected computer, previously encoded in memory, a specific and unique shape called a marker. The camera tracks the movement of the marker in its field of view, and the computer displays in its place a 3D object generated in real-time. You can see where the image is displayed, that is, on the plasma, the image of the projector, any projection environment.
Consists of software and hardware. In the latter case, all types of smartphones and tablets can be considered the main device for accessing augmented reality. Mobile gadgets have touch screens, high-resolution cameras, and all kinds of sensors, including GPS receivers, accelerometers, compasses. By combining all this data, special software can process the content.
What is MR?
Mixed Reality (MR) is a hybrid of AR and VR that is much more advanced than Virtual Reality because it combines the use of several types of technologies, including sensors, advanced optics, and next-generation computing power. All of these technologies, combined into one device, will give you the ability to overlay advanced holographic digital content in real-time space, creating incredibly realistic and vivid scenarios.
How does it work?
Mixed reality works by scanning your physical environment and creating a 3D map of your surroundings so that the device knows exactly where and how to place digital content in that space realistically - while allowing you to interact with it using gestures. Unlike VR, where the user is immersed in a completely different world, MR invites digital content into a real-time environment, allowing you to interact with them.
What Can Mixed Reality Do?
Mixed Reality isn't just another advanced game console to play the latest Halo or Madden NFL. Instead, it will add a whole new world of interactions, apps, games, and experiences never imagined. The world around you will become completely new, with which you can play, learn, communicate and interact.
